1.) What did you just read?
I just read the basics of and the introduction into the "Information Society" as well as the definition of
information and its different stages. I read about the principles of turning data into information, into
knowledge and finally into wisdom. Furthermore I read about the different sources of information.
2.) Why is imagination more important than knowledge?
Imagination is a very important factor, when it comes to knowledge. Much of knowledge we gained
derived from the ability to imagine the theory of the practical knowledge. And on the other side
imagination can also be the creative factor to stimulate the interest and ability to gain new
knowledge as well as it can lead us forward with the attempt to acquire wisdom and it gives us the
ability to understand the information in our own way of information processing.
Imagination can be the start of new ideas, new theories and sources which we might be in need
of more information for or for which we are even the creators of the fundamental information for
others.
3.) Why do you seek for information?
Every person has different purposes or aims for seeking information and many answers might
exist here. But the main purpose of seeking information is to fulfull the desire for filling gaps of
knowledge with the appropriate information missing, growing in our mind or just confirming or
questioning our own theories.
The search can either be led by the will to know more about things, to expand the own horizon, to
grow in mind, out of interest, out of neccessity as well as for many other possible reasons.
4.) What topic do you know best? Why?
Being honest: There is no topic I know best about, because there is no subject I know all about
and I do frequently learn new things with every coming day in many topics of education or life.
I think that people mostly know well about the things they are particularly interested in and things
they cared or concerned about recently. But as time passes, also interests and the level of
knowledge about the different subjects may often change - they may increase or even be forgotten.
5.) What websites do you like most? Why?
I do like informative websites the most, which can give me the fundamental and relevant information
on the subjects im looking for information for. The subject, and therefore also the websites, might
change with each new purpose and subject of seeking information.
I don't like websites with many flashing banners, pop ups and advertisements which run circles
with their texts and finally don't really reveal the information I was looking for.
